The overall look

One of my favorite outfits from the 90's is making a comeback...Since the jumpsuits have been a huge hit these past seasons, the overall is a definite spin on this trend.
It's a versatile look: dress it up or down, with a pump, a wedge, or a cute flat, go glam and accessorize the shizz out of it or wear just plain chilled out. In classic denim or as we've seen on a few runways silk, suede and leather you're sure to find one to give you, overall, the best look... loves it.

Talking about putting your life on display

Soccer player for Milan club Brera and model, Adrea Vasa, 30, lives in an unusual luxury home in Italy that doubles as the flagship boutique for German designer Dirk Bikkembergs. The public has a view right into the athletes life as customers can simply ring his doorbell and rummage through the racks while he's probably working out or chilling with friends.
His bathroom I find is one of the coolest places in his apartment. The walls are papered with pages of newspapers.
Can you image living like this?!

Enjoy it while it lasts...

Winter is almost over already. Of course I can't wait to feel the fresh spring air and get some color but I still appreciate the winter. C'mon I have too...out of 12 mths, we have 8 mths of cold!! So, might as well get the best out of it. So this weekend, that is exactly what I did.
Montreal is known for it's amazing festivals during the summer. We also have a few activities during the winter like the Montreal High Lights festival. With many outdoor activities and attractions at different locations throughout the downtown area, the festival is sure to take away the winter Blahs.
The night started off pretty slow after a day of work and having slept 3 hours the night before from watching Shutter Island, that btw been waiting to see since LAST YEAR!! I was pretty much falling asleep on my BF's couch when we got a call to come downtown to see the fireworks at the Old Port...and that's when I remembered: "OMG THE FESTIVAL...I'M SOOO DOWN!"
So we made our way to the Old Port late as always... In my defence, we didn't have much time to get ready and i really wanted to use my new curling iron which I probably should have opted out for a nice doo bc well, it started snowing; need I say more?! AND...lol don't tell my BF I'm actually posting this, but for some odd reason he couldn't park my car between a pick up truck and minivan for at least 5 tries when I got impatient and had to tell him to get out of my car, that is a tiny Hyundai Accent (he drives an SUV which makes it hard to understand why he had a hard time parking) to repark it myself... Finally we got to the dock and watched the fireworks... we missed 30 seconds of the beginning but wtv, it's fine no biggy!

After, we walked to Place des Arts (one of my Fav places in the city) for a music/dance show...can i just say B-A-N-A-N-A-S!!!! Wow what a show. The stage was surrounded with a thin screen with images projected while the dancers showed off many styles of dance: contemporary, jazz ballet, crump, b-boy, stomp, tap, break dance...the visual effects were captivating. Even though my view wasn't the greatest and was trying to keep my balance on a bump of ice I was got lost in the performances. It was so beautiful to look at.
Light snowflakes started to descend from the clear skies as the music progressively made the crowd's energy increase.

Once the dancers left the stage, came the DJ and his sick beats. A portion of the crowd left and whoever stayed under the snowy skies started to move to the music. It was such a good feeling to be part of the crowd. Every one had smiles on their faces, people started to do a congo line and others kept warm with each other. Where else can you party outside while it's snowing and having beer being passed around??...OK now maybe Whistler but wtv not all of us are fortunate to be there right now! That's not the point lol.
We eventually decided to go warm up somewhere and get a few drinks. Along the way, we walked through L'espace L'Oreal. An enormous 21 metre (70 ft.) white sphere that can accommodate over 300 people at a time inside "simple-looking opaque, spherical white inner wall becomes the portal for a voyage into the universe once six synchronized high-performance projectors whirr into action! Yuga, le film, a world premiere presentation, is a special, spectacular 14-minute animated presentation courtesy of Montreal’s Space & Dream, taking the viewer on a completely immersive journey revealing nothing less than the history of the universe!"...we didn't go in :(... But I took pictures!!

The night ended at Brandy's in the Old POrt where we enjoyed a martini for myself which was delish, pitcher of Ricards Red for the boys and nachos...

The Festival lasts 1 week; from Feb 18 - Feb 28th. There are so many activities and parties that I wanted to do might go back this week...you should to of course if you can!
For tickets and schedules (most activities and shows are 'gratuit'!) Metro is open all night long, shuttles between outdoor activities pass every 5-10 min.

These colors totally excite me for spring and Easter! They remind me of when my brother and I were kids, my mom always had an Easter egg hunt ready on Easter morning before church! 40 days with no chocolate or candy for me at that age... was really a challenge but worth it!
Wether the weather was nice or not, she would never dissappoint us in super exciting chase.
The night before she would put us to sleep with story of how the Easter bunny would come early in the morning and hide all the goodies. When the morning came, I would jumped out of bed to go wake up my big brother.
Over the years, my mom done so many different types of Easter egg hunts. One year, she cut out rabbit paws out of paper and placed them in a trail from our beds to each hidden treat all over the house.
Another year, she left us clues where to find the next clue and sometimes a chocolate egg ending the chase in a big basket of chocolates and candy, kind of like the amazing race. Another time, my brother and I had seperate races but at one checkpoint we needed each others clues to find our grand prize that we had to share!
My favorite must have been when the hunt was outside in our back yard and treehouse... We have a pretty big yard so the hunt must have lasted a good hour. We had started the hunt inside the house and my mom came up with this awesome story behind it...I wish I remembered but it's such a long time ago...
I really miss those days... But these gorgeous colors bring me back to those happy days.

Sonia Rykiel for H&M

Never one to disappoint H&M collabo's with fashion legend Sonia Rykiel. I've been anticipating this collaboration since I saw the unforgettable runway show at the Grand Palais in Paris (i wish i were there) this past December. This second part of the collaboration focuses on her iconic striped knit sweaters in amazing vibrant colors, classic Rykiel bows and frills. Cute and romantic pieces perfect for the winter to spring transition that we'll be able to wear until next fall. Can't wait to get my hands on MY own Sonia Rykiel knit :) !!

V-day

ok so i fckn hate Valentines day... i must sound like a grumpy woman that's gotten screwed over by many jerkoff men in her past lmao! The truth is, Valentine's day is just another Hallmark made holiday to give the population an excuse to go out and spend their money on shit they dont need...wtf am i gunna do with another red stuffed teddy bear...or a heart shaped pillow...pink Pj's...the chocolate...i won't complain about :) (hehe) Bottom line... why should i have to celebrate my love with the rest of the world on this specific day. Why not get flowers and heart shaped pillows on a regular Sunday? Does it HAVE to be on February 14th? And why the hell did it have to be in February...the coldest month of the year and not to forget Black History month?! I daaare you to tell me "because you get to keep each other warm with love"...fck that.

Ne way, bc my BF is the best and is into this holiday, we're going up north to a chalet. Don't get me wrong I am totally excited bc we're gunna be together and i'm sure its gunna be awesomeness...but i hate the pressure of Valentine's day bc i hate the corniness about it and the expectations everyone has. The expected romance on Vday doesn't impress me anymore not since having secret admirerers leaving me heart shaped notes on my desk in elementary school, even then i wasnt impressed...i want to tell you that i Love you everyday...not just that day.

On that note, i can't wait to watch the star filled cast "Valentine's day" movie coming out Feb. 12!! If you haven't seent the trailer yet, get out of the house a bit... but seriously here are a few celebs you can be excited to see: Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper (yum), Erik Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher (yum), Queen Latifah, Taylor Lautner, Taylor Swift, George Lopez, Julia Roberts.... and the list goes on forever!
if you havent seen it...WATCH IT!:

Oxford

As seen on Olivia Palermo (lovs her) oxfords. Have a feeling its gunna be huge this upcoming spring/summer season. However not everyone can pull this look off... it can be very tricky. Make sure to pair up the very manly shoe with an outfit that is feminine; like a flowy skirt, floral top, even a really nice fitted skinny jean..i suggest white for summer. here are a few of my fav choices that you might see me rockin' this spring :P

NOSTALGIC!

i was watching the Sean Paul "Gimme da light" video a couple days ago... and OMG did it ever bring back old school memories from high school! 1. the parasuco jeans with the jewels along the leg with the slit at the ankle (who did own those jeans!?!) 2. the white velour sweat suit... and 3.that infamous grinding scene between the chick with the nice booty and non-chalant guy... it was so HOT i even performed that same dance with my catwalk partner during a high school fashion show...lol!
